VizChitra 2026 Conference Financial Aid Scholarships

VizChitra, the Indian Data Visualization community, is organising its second conference this summer.

Date: 4th July 2026

Venue: Bangalore International Centre, Domlur, Bengaluru

Deadline for applications: May 25, 2026.

The Scholarship:

With the support of Friends of VizChitra and sponsors, we are offering full scholarships for 10 individuals to attend the VizChitra 2026 Conference Day. The scholarship covers the ticket cost for the conference day on July 4. Recipients travelling from outside Bangalore will also receive ₹5,000 towards travel and accommodation.

We want VizChitra's room to reflect the full range of people working with data in India. These scholarships exist to make that possible. If cost is standing between you and being here, apply.

Applicants:

You don't need to prove anything. If you're a student, freelancer, early-career practitioner, career switcher, or anyone for whom the ticket cost is a real barrier, this is for you. We also want to hear from people in Tier 2/3 cities, from non-metro India, and from backgrounds that are underrepresented in data visualisation spaces.

The Process:

Fill out the form linked below before May 25, 2026. Applications will be reviewed by a panel from the VizChitra community based on financial need, geographic access, career stage, potential to take learnings back to their community, and lived experience. Final decisions will be communicated by email within a week of the deadline.
